Today we have published Kevin's piece for brass band "To Praise Thy Name" which was commissioned for the 75th Annivesary of the Winterley Methodist Band in 2013.

Kevin was commissioned to write this piece for the 75th Anniversary of the Winterley Methodist Band in 2013. The band was formed to take Christian witness to the open air, through band rounds in the local streets. This pieces encapsulates this through a number of well known hymn tunes. It starts with "When Morning Gilds The Sky", a more light hearted 7:8 version on "Deep Harmony", a quartet, then full band verse of the tune Elsie , and a fugue on I Danced in the Morning. The final section of the piece fuses together, When Morning Gilds The Sky and I Danced in the Morning. Various other snippets are included through the peice.

The peice was first performed at Band Sunday on 24th November 2013
