Kevin's arrangement for brass band of The Locomotion is now available through Sheet Music Direct. This is a bit of a blast from the past, but he was asked recently if he still had the score and parts for this arrangement so here it is. Originally performed by Little Eva but many will remember the Kylie Minogue version in the eighties. Follow the link below to download the score and parts.

Over the last few years Kevin has been researching our family tree and discovered an intriguing link to his Brass Band work " Blore Heath 1459.

One of his grandparents was Alice Egerton and it was through this line that this fact has come to light.

Sixteen generations back from Alice was John Egerton (Knight) who lived between 1404 and 1459. John Egerton died in battle on the 23rd September 1459 on the battle field at Blore Heath.

The battle at Blore Heath was one of the first battles of the "War of the Roses".

Who would have thought that when Kevin went into Audley library to research a local theme for the band's commission in conjunction with the National Lottery that it would take this interesting twist.
