Kevins Postcard from Luthermuir started life as a cornet solo with piano accompaniment, but this new version really brings the music to life.
Luthermuir is a rural village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and this version really brings out the nature of the area. The original cornet solo written for Rory Rolfe to be played at the 2009 British Open Solo Competition was dedicated to his Aunt Helen, who lived in Luthermuir and sadly passed away in 2010. "Postcard" is a reminder and reflection on happier times.
