Down By The Salley Gardens

Kevin has arranged this Irish Folk melody as a Trombone Solo with Brass Band.  The original melody was known as" The Maid of Mourne Shore" and the lyrics are a text dating back to 1889 by poet William Butler Yeats. 

Down by the sally gardens my love and I did meet
She passed the sally gardens with little snow-white feet
She bid me to take love easy as the leaves grow on the trees
But I being young and foolish with her would not agree
